On July 28–29, Huayou Cobalt successfully convened its 2026 Mid-Year Work Conference in Suzhou. The conference served as a comprehensive platform to review and critically assess the performance and shortcomings of the first half of the year, analyze and deliberate on responses to a severe and complex external landscape, clarify operational frameworks, set clear development objectives, and deploy key initiatives. By further aligning ideological consensus and consolidating institutional strength, the conference aimed to ensure a robust and successful start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, laying a solid foundation for the full accomplishment of the annual targets. Mr. Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou Holding Group, attended the meeting and delivered guiding instructions. Mr. Chen Hongliang, Chairman of Huayou Cobalt, delivered the mid-year work report. The conference was presided over by Mr. Wang Jun, Senior Vice President of Huayou Cobalt.

     Chairman Chen Xuehua pointed out that executing the operational and developmental tasks for the second half of the year is of profound significance. It directly bears upon the successful, high-standard implementation of the Group’s 15th Five-Year Plan, the realization of substantive breakthroughs in sprinting toward the “515” medium- and long-term strategic goals during this inaugural year, and the full demonstration of our competitive edge in leveraging a vertically integrated global supply chain to hedge against multiple external systemic risks. Furthermore, it is crucial for rallying the collective resolve of all cadres and employees to script a new chapter of counter-trend  growth. Management and personnel across Huayou Cobalt must reinforce their developmental confidence, maintain clear-headed strategic judgment, demonstrate pragmatic accountability in translating key tasks into concrete outcomes, and go all out to successfully fulfill the annual operational targets with high quality.

Chairman Chen Hongliang delivered a work report titled “Firming Confidence, Sustaining Endeavor, and Going All Out to Complete Annual Targets with High Quality.” The report comprehensively reviewed the company’s new progress made in the first half across five areas: strategic guidance, core business development, risk prevention and control, technological innovation, and internal management. It also clearly defined the second-half work deployment, which centers on advancing five major breakthrough initiatives: safety foundation consolidation, technological innovation, operational quality enhancement, competitiveness improvement, and management empowerment. In addition, it set forth the “Four Musts” as the operational requirements.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman Chen called upon all members of the Huayou family to maintain high fighting spirit, stay confident, and sustain our endeavors. We must continue to consolidate the foundation of stability, unleash the driving force of progress, and expand the fruits of victory. With a winning resolve, we will ensure the successful fulfillment of all annual targets and strive to create a new paradigm for Huayou’s high-quality development.
